Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy said he heard from Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, after he ripped the UNC football coach following the Tar Heels’ 28-12 loss to Wake Forest on Saturday.
During Wednesday’s installment of the “Barstool Pick Em” podcast, Portnoy explained that Hudson sent him a direct message on Instagram.
“I got a thumbs down from her. I got a DM, just a thumbs down,” Portnoy said.
“What’d you send her?” co-host Dan “Big Cat” Katz asked.
“I didn’t send her nothing … She DM’d me a thumbs down,” Portnoy replied.
“I said something to that effect,” Portnoy said.
Portnoy couldn’t contain his frustration after the ugly loss at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium.
“Watching UNC is so frustrating,” he wrote. “It’s like an alien stole Belichick’s brain. Just horribly coached. Horrible decisions.”
He added, “Belichick needs to retire. This is disgusting. I’m not even sure he knows the score or where he is.”
The Tar Heels (4-6) play Duke (5-5) on Saturday.
Belichick didn’t let the loss stop him from supporting the 24-year-old Hudson at a cheerleading competition in Raleigh the next day.
